Double Offset High Performance Butterfly Valve
Double offset high performance butterfly valve is ZZJG's flagship product, offering numerous advantages such as lightweight operation due to its eccentric design, self-cleaning spherical surface, and suitability for high-pressure and demanding conditions. It is widely used in medium-pressure (PN1.0-PN16) and medium-temperature (≤200℃) applications including seawater desalination, city gas, food and pharmaceutical industries, and industrial cooling water systems. Its dual-eccentric design surpasses traditional concentric butterfly valves by eliminating friction wear during opening/closing, significantly enhancing sealing performance and service life, making it the preferred choice for medium-pressure applications.

Dual eccentricity is its core technology. The valve stem axis is offset from both the disc center and the body sealing surface center. This ensures the disc never contacts the seal surface throughout its entire opening/closing range (0°-90°), enabling zero-friction operation and preventing rapid wear common in concentric butterfly valves. When fully closed, the disc presses against the seal surface via torque, forming a face-to-face seal. This achieves higher sealing pressure than single-offset line contact seals, enabling zero leakage with soft seals and compatibility with complex media using hard seals.
It features high flow capacity and a large flow coefficient, making it suitable for high-flow control. Common sizes range from DN50 to DN350, meeting most medium-pressure pipeline requirements. Soft seals are used for clean fluids, while hard seals are employed for industrial cooling water containing fine particles or low-pressure steam. It is widely used in urban gas networks, wastewater treatment plants, and central air conditioning circulation systems. Its compact structure allows for easy installation and saves pipeline space.

Selection must be based on operating conditions. Avoid soft seals with particulate matter to prevent seal surface scratches. For high-temperature applications, choose metal seats with heat-resistant treatment. Installation direction is unrestricted—it can be mounted in either direction, simplifying pipeline design. However, ensure parallel flange alignment to maintain seal integrity. Regularly inspect seal surface wear and lubricate the valve stem for extended service life.
Today's industrial control systems increasingly prioritize cost-effectiveness and reliability. The double-offset high-performance butterfly valve, with its simple structure, reliable sealing, and easy maintenance, holds a significant market share in medium-pressure applications. Following manufacturing process upgrades, it now offers greater material diversity and higher precision, enabling its use in emerging fields like new energy and biopharmaceuticals. It has become a core piece of equipment balancing economy and practicality.
