The Challenge & Goal

Problem: A major copper concentrator was replacing valves in their primary tailings line every 3-4 months due to severe abrasive wear.
Root Cause: Standard valve materials were not specified for the high-density, sharp-particle slurry, leading to catastrophic erosion.
Objective: Engineer a solution to drastically increase valve service life, reduce maintenance costs, and eliminate production losses.

Our Solution & Result

Action: Deployed a ZZJG Slurry-Service valve. The solution began with a material-first analysis, selecting a thick, high-rebound natural rubber liner.
Performance: The purpose-built liner absorbed particle impact, protecting the valve body. The precision-machined components ensured a tight seal.
Result: The ZZJG valve is still in service after 12 months, an 4x increase in lifespan. The client has standardized on our valves for all abrasive applications.
