The Challenge & Goal
- Challenge: Main Natural Gas Fuel Supply Line for a CCGT plant (PN63).
- Impact: The existing soft-seated ball valves showed passing/leakage after 18 months of service, leading to efficiency losses and safety concerns during turbine shutdown.
- Goal: Implement a Class VI / Rate A zero-leakage isolation valve with certified ESD (Emergency Shutdown) capability and a 10-year service life target.
Our Solution & Result
- Action: ZZJG Triple Offset Butterfly Valve (DN300, PN63).
- Mechanism: WCB Body, CF8M Disc, 17-4PH Stem, and Laminated Metal Seat (SS316+Graphite). Equipped with a spring-return pneumatic actuator for fail-close operation.
- Result: The valve has provided 4+ years of consistent, bubble-tight zero leakage. ESD tests are performed quarterly with perfect results. The plant has standardized on our TOV for all critical gas isolation duties.
