Catalog

Chiller Plant - Main Lines

Flanged Electric Butterfly Valve

Media & Conditions: Chilled Water (Closed Loop), 5-12°C, PN10/PN16, Large Bore (DN250-800).

Recommended Materials

  • Body: Ductile Iron GGG40/50
  • Disc: Stainless Steel CF8 or Al-Bronze C95800
  • Stem: SS420 or SS304
  • Seat: EPDM

Operation

  • Selection Challenge: Reliable isolation for maintenance, rigidity for large diameters, BMS integration.
  • Recommended Actuator: Electric On/Off for isolation; Modulating for bypass.

Selection Reasoning

Flanged connections provide maximum rigidity and sealing for large pipes, preventing leakage. Ductile Iron is the most cost-effective body for HVAC water systems. A stainless or bronze disc prevents rust contamination. EPDM seats are perfect for chilled water temperatures, and electric actuators enable remote control and automation.

Cooling Tower - Condenser Lines

Heavy-Body SS Wafer Butterfly Valve

Media & Conditions: Cooling Water (Open Loop), 25-40°C, PN10/PN16, poor water quality.

Recommended Materials

  • Body: Stainless Steel CF8/CF8M
  • Disc: Stainless Steel CF8M or Duplex 2205
  • Stem: SS316 or 17-4PH
  • Seat: EPDM (General) / HTEPDM (at chlorination points)

Operation

  • Selection Challenge: High corrosion risk from chemicals and dissolved oxygen; robust build for pressure fluctuations.
  • Recommended Actuator: Electric On/Off

Selection Reasoning

The open-loop system is highly corrosive. A full stainless steel (CF8/CF8M) valve offers superior corrosion resistance and extends service life. A Heavy-Body design provides greater structural strength. For budget-conscious projects, a ductile iron body with a Duplex steel disc is an excellent alternative with strong anti-pitting capabilities.

Terminal Units - AHU/FCU Coils

High-Performance Wafer Butterfly Valve (Double Offset)

Media & Conditions: Chilled/Hot Water, 5-85°C, PN16, frequent modulating duty.

Recommended Materials

  • Body: WCB Carbon Steel or CF8 Stainless
  • Disc: Stainless Steel CF8M
  • Stem: 17-4PH or Duplex 2205
  • Seat: RPTFE (Reinforced PTFE)

Operation

  • Selection Challenge: High cycle count causing seat wear; requires good equal-percentage flow characteristics.
  • Recommended Actuator: Electric Modulating (4-20mA or 0-10V)

Selection Reasoning

The double offset design lifts the disc from the seat upon opening, drastically reducing friction and wear. It is the ultimate solution for high-frequency modulating services, lasting several times longer than concentric valves. This solves the most common point of failure for terminal unit control valves.

Let our engineers analyze your application and demonstrate how a purpose-built valve can lower your Total Cost of Ownership and bring stability to your operations.

Pump Discharge / Dead-End Service

Lug-Type Butterfly Valve

Media & Conditions: System Water, PN16/PN25. Requires removal of downstream pipe.

Recommended Materials

  • Body: Ductile Iron GGG50
  • Disc: Stainless Steel CF8M
  • Stem: SS420
  • Seat: EPDM

Operation

  • Selection Challenge: Extreme safety risk. Wafer valves can be dangerously ejected by line pressure.
  • Recommended Actuator: Worm Gear or Hand Lever with Lockout Option

Selection Reasoning

A Lug-style body is the only safe choice for dead-end service. Its tapped bolt holes allow the valve to be independently secured to a single flange, safely holding back upstream pressure even when the downstream pipe is removed. An operator with a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) feature is a critical safety requirement for maintenance.

Fire Protection Lines

Wafer Butterfly Valve

Media & Conditions: Fire Water (stagnant), PN16/PN25. Normally open.

Recommended Materials

  • Body: Ductile Iron GGG50 (High Pressure PN25)
  • Disc: SS316 or Al-Bronze (Essential for stagnant water)
  • Stem: SS410
  • Seat: Fire-Grade EPDM

Operation

  • Selection Challenge: Valve position must be monitored; risk of seizing after long static periods.
  • Recommended Actuator: Worm Gear with Tamper Switch

Selection Reasoning

Fire protection lines require valves that remain operational even after months of inactivity. This type of valve features a reinforced heavy-duty body to handle emergency pressure surges (up to 25 bar). Crucially, the combination of a stainless steel disc and high-grade EPDM seat prevents rust-locking (seizing), ensuring the valve opens instantly when the signal gearbox is activated.

High-Temp Water / LP Steam

Triple Offset Butterfly Valve (Lug/Flanged)

Media & Conditions: High-Temp Hot Water or Saturated Steam, 120°C - 250°C.

Recommended Materials

  • Body: WCB Carbon Steel or CF8M Stainless
  • Disc: Stainless Steel CF8M
  • Stem: 17-4PH
  • Seat: Laminated (SS316 + Graphite)

Operation

  • Selection Challenge: High temperature is fatal to conventional soft seats; requires zero leakage.
  • Recommended Actuator: Electric (High-Temp Model)

Selection Reasoning

The triple offset geometry provides a true "zero-friction" camming action, which, combined with a laminated metal-graphite seat, perfectly solves the high-temperature sealing challenge. It achieves bubble-tight shutoff and is the ideal, high-performance choice for steam and hot water, often a highlight of our advanced product line.

Proven Performance In The Field

Client Challenge

  • Multi-System Complexity: The project involved diverse cooling loops—chiller main lines (DN600), high-corrosion cooling tower circuits, and high-cycle CRAC unit control—each with unique pressure, temperature, and media characteristics.
  • Zero-Leakage & Uptime Mandate: As a Tier-IV data center, any unplanned shutdown or fluid leakage would result in millions in losses. Absolute reliability and bubble-tight sealing were non-negotiable.
  • Supply Chain & TCO Risk: Sourcing different specialized valves from multiple suppliers created significant project management overhead, potential integration issues, and a higher Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Our Integrated Solution

  • Engineered Valve Package: Instead of just supplying products, we analyzed the client's P&ID. We engineered a unified valve matrix, specifying cost-effective flanged valves for mainlines, high-performance valves for modulating control, and critical-service lug valves for pump outlets.
  • Source-Controlled Manufacturing: Leveraging our in-house foundry, we cast the cooling tower valve bodies in Ductile Iron but specified Duplex Stainless Steel discs to combat corrosion—a cost-effective, high-performance pairing impossible for mere traders. Every valve underwent 1.5x hydrostatic and 1.1x pneumatic seat testing.
  • Streamlined Project Execution: As a single-source manufacturer, we provided a consolidated delivery schedule, unified documentation, and consistent quality, eliminating intermediary markups and de-risking the client's procurement process, significantly lowering their TCO.
"Your ability to customize materials at the foundry level and deep understanding of our different HVAC sub-systems gave us a level of reliability and cost-efficiency that sourcing from multiple vendors could never achieve."
