I. Installation Steps (Locking)
1. Confirm Valve Position: Adjust the butterfly valve to the desired locking position: fully open / fully closed / specified opening.
2. Depressurization and Safety Confirmation: Ensure the pipeline is pressure-free and free of hazardous media, meeting the LOTO locking conditions.
3. Insert Valve Position Lock: Secure the butterfly valve position lock between the handle and the valve body/stem, ensuring the lock's groove fully engages the handle or stem.
4. Adjust and Secure: Tighten the adjusting knob/bolt on the lock body to prevent wobbling or slippage.
5. Add Safety Padlock: Thread a personal safety padlock through the lock's keyhole and lock it in place.
6. Hang Warning Sign: Hang a "Do Not Operate - Personnel Working" warning sign to complete the locking process.

II. Disassembly Procedure (Unlocking)
Verify on-site that the work is complete, personnel have evacuated, tools have been cleared, and the pipeline is ready for restoration.
Remove warning signs. Only the person who locked the safety padlock can unlock it (whoever pads the padlock must remove it).
Loosen the valve position lock. Loosen the adjusting knob/bolt and remove the lock from the handle.
Restore the valve to an operable state. Check if the butterfly valve can open and close normally without jamming.



III. Key Safety Points (Must Read)
Multiple people must not share a lock; one lock per person is required.
Locks must be dedicated and cannot be replaced with wire or cable ties.
Before disassembly, ensure the equipment/pipeline is safe to prevent accidental activation and injury.
Locks must be fully secured and cannot be loose or slipped.
